365 Day Project - Week 4

Welcome to Week 4 of my photo project :)  Things are much calmer around here these days and it has been nice to settle into our new apartment and take some time to relax.  We have been spending a lot of time at the beach this week since the average temperature have been about 30 degrees C (I apologize to those up north!).  These are a few photos from the beach, things we've been eating; and even though it was not this week, I have included some more wedding pictures as promised!

365 Day Project - Week 3

Well what a crazy week this was!  With all the wedding festivities finished, Mom, Dad, W and I made the long drive from Belo Horizonte back to Vitoria.  Mom and Dad stayed and visited in Vitoria until Tuesday before they flew back to Canada.  It was so wonderful to see them and it was very hard to see them go.  These are a few photos from their trip and also one wedding photo to tease you.  W. is in the process of editing the rest and I promise I will post more next week.

We had so much luggage Mom and I were literally separated by a wall.

365 Day Project - Week 2

This week was Wedding Week!  W. and I had the first part of our two part wedding on January 12th in W's home town of Sabarà.  It was an amazing day that we were able to celebrate with our families from Canada and Brazil.  Since the ceremony was on a Thursday, we decided to wait and have a party today so everyone could really enjoy themselves.  Here are a few snapshots of this week with more to follow from the wedding.

Happy New Year!  Feliz Ano Novo!

Welcome to the beginning of my new blog and my new photo project.  Check back each weekend to see a week's worth of photos of our life in Brazil.  There are many simple things that are so different for me here that I want to document them all to share with you.  W. and I hope that lots of you will come to visit us this year; but if you can't, hopefully you will follow along here and leave your comments and messages for us.
