365 Day Project - Week 42-43

Wow, well it's been a crazy few weeks finally moving into our new apartment!  Pictures are coming....first though, here are a few photos from around here.

365 Day Project - Week 41

This week we had another Bank Holiday - it's like every week around here! W had the day off so we took a little drive outside of the city. Here are some photos from that and some other bits and pieces. Enjoy!

This week was a fairly uneventful one.  We applied for W's Canadian tourist visa so we can hopefully come to Canada for Christmas.  Cross your fingers and your toes for us!  Here are a few photos from this week.  Enjoy!

365 Day Project - Weeks 33-38 The Lost Weeks

I have returned!  Yes I am still alive and well down here in the Southern Hemisphere.  I will not attempt to excuse my absence other than to say that we are still desperately in search of a place to live and it has become a mission/second job for both W and I.  It has consumed all of our free time and our sanity and at the moment we are still looking.  Brazil is complicated....let's just say that :)  Meanwhile keep your fingers crossed for us and enjoy some pictures from my lost weeks!

Well here is another double edition for you!  After all of the chaos with moving, traveling and starting a new job, we are definitely a bit more settled now.  W is working a lot and really enjoying his new job.  Now we are just on the hunt for the perfect place to live!  Here are a few shots from around Belo Horizonte.

365 Day Project - Week 30

Wow, I can't believe that I'm already halfway through my project.  Our first week together in Belo Horizonte was great!  I started at my new school (which I love!) and I've even learned how to use the bus on my own.  W also got a new job which he is excited about so I am really happy for him as well.  Here are a few photos from my first week here.

I was lucky enough to spend my two week holiday back home in Canada.  It was such a relaxing holiday and I was able to catch up with so many people that I hadn't seen in such a long time.  Here is a quick snapshot of my lovely vacation.  Enjoy!

365 Day Project - Weeks 26 and 27

This majorly delayed blog post is another double feature.  The last few weeks have been absolute chaos around our house.  I finished working at my current school with a lot of tears (!) while packing up our entire apartment (again...).  We also celebrated our six month wedding anniversary and I can't believe it came up so fast.  After this, I left poor W at home to move all of our stuff from Vitoria to Belo Horizonte while I hopped on a plane (or four....) to take my much-awaited trip to Canada!  So here I am now enjoying my time with my family and also looking forward to starting our new adventure in Belo Horizonte.  I am going to take a little break from the blog to enjoy my time at home, but I will be back with another double feature CANADA STYLE to share with you in a couple weeks.
